Itinerary – Trekking to Rinjani Summit 2 Days 1 Night
Day 1 – Sembalun Village to Sembalun Crater Rim (Pelawangan)

06:00 AM – Wake up and breakfast at your hotel.

07:00 AM – Hotel pick-up. Short transfer for a medical check-up, then drive to Sembalun Village (1,156m), about 45 minutes away.

Upon arrival in Sembalun, complete registration at the Rinjani National Park office before heading to the starting point. Apply sunscreen, as the trail passes through open savanna with little shade.

09:00 AM – Start trekking to Pos 1 (1,300m). The hike takes about 2 hours. Short break with snacks and drinks.

11:00 AM – Continue to Pos 2 (1,400m), about 30 minutes walk. Longer rest (1–2 hours) while your porter prepares lunch.

01:00 PM – Resume trekking to Pos 3 (1,800m) in about 1 hour. From here, the trail becomes steeper, taking ±3.5 hours of climbing to reach Sembalun Crater Rim (Pelawangan, 2,641m).

03:00–04:00 PM – Arrive at Pelawangan Sembalun. Enjoy a spectacular panorama of Segara Anak Lake, Mount Baru Jari, Mount Agung in Bali, and the Gili Islands. In the afternoon, your porter will serve hot coffee/tea and fried bananas while you wait for the sunset.

Dinner will be served in the evening, followed by an early rest to prepare for the summit attack the next morning.
Day 2 – Summit Attack & Descent to Sembalun

02:00 AM – Early wake-up, light breakfast prepared by your porter before the climb.

02:30 AM – Start trekking to the Summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726m). This is the most challenging part of the trek, taking about 3 hours on steep and sandy trails.

05:30 AM – Reach the Rinjani Summit. Experience an unforgettable sunrise with panoramic views: Segara Anak Lake, Mount Baru Jari, Mount Tambora in Sumbawa, Mount Agung in Bali, the Gili Islands, and even the coastline of Lombok.

After sunrise, descend back to the campsite at Pelawangan for a hearty breakfast.

08:00 AM – Begin descent to Sembalun Village (1,156m). The trek back takes about 6 hours, including a stop for lunch on the trail.

02:00 PM – Arrive at Sembalun Trekking Gate. Transport will be waiting to take you back to the trekking office, then continue to your next destination (hotel, airport, or as requested).
