Mount Rinjani Trekking SOP Must Be Followed by All Climbers
The Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Mount Rinjani trekking, issued by the Mount Rinjani National Park Authority (TNGR), must be strictly followed by every climber visiting the mountain. These regulations are designed to ensure safety, preserve the environment, and maintain the sustainability of tourism activities in the area.
Therefore, we strongly encourage all trekkers and trekking organizers to establish more intensive communication with us regarding Mount Rinjani. Close coordination will help ensure that every expedition runs smoothly, safely, and in accordance with official regulations.

Booking & Entry

All trekkers must book via the eRinjani App.

Daily quota limits apply per trail (Sembalun, Senaru, Torean).

Check-in at gates: 07:00 – 15:00 WITA.

Check-out: 07:00 – 17:00 WITA.
Health Requirements

Trekkers must present a medical certificate issued within 3 days before trekking.

Fill out health screening / Covid-19 forms if required.

Not recommended for those with serious health conditions.
Documents & Identification

Bring valid ID (Passport / KTP) and ePrint booking code.

Group bookings must be accompanied by a licensed Trekking Organizer (TO).
Guides & Porters

Every group must be accompanied by a licensed guide.

Porters provided by Trekking Organizers (TO) carry camping equipment & logistics.

TO must ensure safety equipment, tents, food & drinks are eco-friendly and safe.
Environment & Waste Management

Bring your own waste bags; trekkers are responsible for their trash.

Use only designated shelters and toilets.

No littering, no cutting trees, no damaging flora/fauna.
Trekking Duration & Rescheduling

Trekkers must follow the schedule stated in booking.

Rescheduling is allowed once per year, requested at least 1 day before trekking.
Safety & Emergencies

Guides must carry communication devices (HT/Radio/Phone).

Emergency contacts are available via TNGR call center / WhatsApp.

In case of accidents or illness, report immediately for evacuation protocol.
Sanctions

Illegal entry, quota violation, waste mismanagement, or ignoring SOP may result in fines or bans.

Park rangers will check documents, health certificates, and equipment.
⚠️ Important Reminder: Mount Rinjani (3,726 m) is a Grade IV difficulty trek. Trekkers should be physically fit, experienced, and well-prepared.
